Dynamic Organizational Transformation is at the heart of our new Strategic Plan. To successfully develop and deploy teaching and research strategies, to improve the quality of care we offer, and to provide the best support and service to regional healthcare providers, we are developing a new model of care and clinical practice that promotes clinician engagement, coordinated service and optimal resource utilization. We are improving our corporate culture so that we have the energy and spirit that are required to embrace and maximize our new mandate as a leader in healthcare. We will:
-
Identify priority services that can be “bundled” and managed as programs with physician/non-physician co-leadership and allocated funding. Examples: Critical Care & Cardiac Care.
-
Realign leadership philosophy and invest in skills development.
-
Reinforce code of conduct and consequences for violations.
-
Focus on team building: develop engagement strategies that have staff and management input from all levels of the organization, engage employee unions in the strategy, and improve staff, management and physician relationships.
-
Develop a human resource
succession plan.
