We are very proud to have 165 active Volunteers who provide more than 3000 hours annually of their time to assist with our many special events and administrative duties to help our Foundation in its goal of raising funds for our Health Sciences Centre.

Our Volunteers are a big part of what makes our special events successful. Their enthusiasm and motivation certainly lifts the spirits of everyone involved, including the participants, sponsors and especially the staff. Thanks to their efforts, our special events raised more than $250,000 this year. These funds will assist in purchasing new medical equipment that will greatly benefit our patients and our professional healthcare team.

We rely and depend on our Volunteers who assist with our administrative duties. This skilled group of volunteers comes in on a weekly basis to assist with data input, memorial donations, filing and other miscellaneous duties as required. This support assists our staff in completing a heavy workload and also provides substantial cost-savings as well.

It has been said that Volunteers are the backbone of an organization; this is certainly true at the Foundation.
