Gift Planning allows you
to provide for today, tomorrow and the future at Thunder Bay
Regional Health Sciences Centre.
 Giving
a gift today helps us fund equipment and technology to help
our patients now. As soon as a donation is made, it goes to
work for our patients.
Gifts for Today are usually:
• Cash paid by cheque, credit
card or monthly giving through automatic debit of your bank
account or credit card.
But they could be:
• Gifts of Securities/Properties
that allow donors to give appreciated shares and other publicly
listed securities or properties for a full tax receipt while
minimizing their capital gains.
• A Gift Annuity that provides ongoing
income to the donor as well as providing a gift to the Foundation.
Worried about what happens tomorrow when care is needed for
our patients, then why not give a gift to:
• Establish an Endowment Fund,
whereby we will retain the principle and use the interest
to ensure technology and equipment can be purchased. The Endowment
Fund can carry your name or a loved one’s name, if so
desired (gifts of $25,000 & above).
By planning ahead, you can continue to share in helping care
for our patients even after your death by leaving a Legacy
Gift. Some people think they do not have an estate, that only
the wealthy can be benefactors. This simply isn’t true.
Everyone has an estate, and the better you plan for its eventual
use, the greater and more beneficial it can be.
