Enteric Outbreak Declared at TBRHSC

Click to listen to this page using ReadPlease An enteric Outbreak has been declared in conjunction with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

 

Symptoms include nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea.

 

The outbreak is presently confined to units 2A and 2C.

 

Visitors – please use alcohol hand rub and wash your hands when entering a patient’s room and when leaving a patient’s room.

 

Please visit only your family member.

 

We discourage children from visiting at this time.

 

Visitors are to exit units 2A and 2C using the Main Entrance from the main corridor.

 

Staff, visitors and volunteers are again reminded of the importance of hand washing before and after entering a patient room, before and after using the washroom and before and after eating or using a tissue.
