dedication01 Click to listen to this page using ReadPlease The success of the new Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre can be measured in numerous ways including partnerships and leadership. The Dedication of the Land ceremony recognized the 60 acres that TBRHSC now occupies, which previously belonged to Lakehead University.

President and CEO of TBRHSC, Ron Saddington, TBRHSC Board Chair, Ron Nelson, President of Lakehead University, Dr. Fred Gibert, and Lakehead University Board Chair, Seppo Paivalainen unveil the plaque that reminds us of the partnership required and the leadership it took in constructing the new Health Sciences Centre. The proximity of the Health Sciences Centre to Lakehead University also played a significant role in the approval of the Lakehead University campus of the Northern Ontario Medical School, which will accept its first students in the fall of 2005.
