Avid bird watcher Dr. Sue Bryan spends most of her weekends tramping through the swamps and forests of Northwestern Ontario with members of the Thunder Bay Field Naturalists Society.

Thousands of hectares of Crown land around Thunder Bay provide unrestricted access to nature buffs and ecotourists alike. Dr. Bryan insists that the bugs in this photo are completely friendly.
