Injuries Don’t Just Happen
'Think Safe - Play Safe - Be Safe'

Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center’s goal is to promote and create safe environments for citizens in our community and the region. Through collaborative patient and family partnerships, we will assume an active role in injury prevention through education, clinical practice and research. Increasing awareness and education of known risks for injury will contribute to healthier lifestyles and safer communities.

What is an injury?

Injuries include all ways people can get physically hurt, impaired or killed, involving unintentional or intentional damage to the body. Examples of unintentional injuries include motor vehicle crashes, falls, sports injuries and unintentional poisonings.
