Total Knee Arthroplasty

Welcome to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Together with your Surgeon, you have decided that a Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) is necessary to correct the symptoms that you are now experiencing. Your total stay in hospital and rehabilitation is planned for 8 days after your surgery.

The health care team has developed a Clinical Pathway to explain to you the day to day plan of care. Click on "Patient's Clinical Pathway" in the table of contents to view these day by day plans for your care.

The information contained on this portion of the TBRHSC web site will prepare patients that are considering or planning on having a total knee replacement.
