The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care funds the NorWest Community Health Centres. A volunteer board of directors governs our operations and NorWest CHC has an advisory committee of Longlac residents.

NorWest CHC makes special efforts to serve people who have a higher risk of poor health, or people who are having difficulty finding health care because of language, cultural barriers, poverty or isolation. They consider the social, emotional and financial needs of their clients, since these factors affect a person's health.

NorWest CHC team features family physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, counsellors, dietitians, nutrition workers, community health workers, early childcare educators, and support staff.
